"Grow the Pack" Johnson HS Establishes the Howling Harvest Gardening Collective 

The "Howling Harvest" has officially begun! LBJ High School is proud to announce the founding of its newest student organization: The Howling Harvest Gardening Club. Sponsored by Mr. Victor Manuel Mendoza Jr., the club’s founding meeting saw strong student attendance in Room E-104, demonstrating the campus's enthusiasm for sustainability and service.

The club is dedicated to campus beautification, establishing pollinator gardens, and mastering the science of horticulture. "We are here to do more than plant seeds; we are here to master architecture through nature and build community pride through disciplined work," says Mr. Mendoza. The club has established four mandatory officer roles—President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer—with student elections scheduled for April 2nd. Members are currently starting germination for their first signature crop: Russian Mammoth Sunflowers, which will be grown as gifts of gratitude for club donors and supporters.
